What If Percy Jackson Became A Witcher? Netizen Plot the Perfect Clash for the Fantasy Worlds
In the world of fantasy fiction literature, Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians and Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher series are undeniably among the most popular. With their intriguing blend of myth and magic, both series have captivated readers and cinephiles for years. In a way, they also share the burden of being outcasts with extraordinary abilities and predetermined fates.
With certain similarities, it seems like fans are now wondering that if their worlds collided, could Percy pull off being a Witcher?

A tribe of fantasy enthusiasts gathered on Quora to churn out the details of what would happen to Percy if he tried to turn into a mighty monster hunter of the Witcherverse. The question also posed the riddle of whether the demigod would lose his fertility, a common consequence of transforming into a magical creature in the Witcherverse. Well, the majority of those who joined the discussion agreed that Percy would survive the mutation.
One user explained how being a demigod and the son of Poseidon tipped scales in his favor. Since his kind possesses “exceptional strength, durability, and powers”, Percy would not only survive the transformation, but also be “well-suited” to the physically demanding role of a Witcher. Another user felt that since the demigod was essentially a “peak superhuman”, the mutations should barely affect him.
While many agreed he would survive, not all were on the same page about the hero from Olympus. In terms of the loss of his fertility, not everybody saw eye to eye.

While the majority agreed that Percy Jackson’s character, who is returning with an upcoming Walker Scobell-led movie, could easily make it as a Witcher, a few questioned if he could create offspring if he chose to do so. According to one user, the loss of one’s fertility is the price a Witcher has to pay, regardless of their background. So, the “negative side effects” are basically a part of the “process” that lends a Witcher their “abilities”.
Meanwhile, another user put forth the conundrum that the “process of becoming a Witcher” is still vague. According to another, it was possible that mutations do not affect the “bioformation” of an individual. Some were confident that being a “god” meant that he would not be “affected” in any way. Or maybe that is just wishful thinking from folks who would be thrilled to actually see this scenario take shape.
