Back in 2021, the Superman actor appeared on a livestream named Tales from the White Wolf: A Conversation With Henry Cavill where he shared his insights into his gaming experience with The Witcher 3. During the same, he disclosed how he completed the game on the challenging Blood and Broken Bones difficulty several times. However, despite this achievement, he openly admitted it took “three goes to get past the Ghouls in the beginning,” on its most unforgiving difficulty, Death March.
Cavill expressed disappointment in his overall performance, emphasizing the challenge presented by the Death March difficulty level, which he deemed the “not fun way to play the game.” Despite the formidable nature of Death March, he conveyed a determination to overcome it, planning to tackle it after further honing his skills in another Blood and Broken Bones playthrough.
Though the British superstar had adores the Witcherverse more than anyone, he has a special place for one team from the game which he once disclosed.

While Cavill will not continue this storyline in the series, his 2021 interview with Digital Spy revealed his adoration for Yennefer, extending beyond the screen to The Witcher 3 game and books.
During the red carpet interview for season 2, Cavill shared how he always felt true to Geralt’s core, firmly aligning himself with Yennefer. He emphasized this sentiment extended to the games, stating that, for him, it has always been “team Yennefer”. This commitment to the folklore and characters is consistent with Cavill’s known dedication. His unwavering allegiance to Yennefer appears to be a natural extension of this characteristic.
