Henry Cavill’s part in the Highlander reboot stands above his past projects, including The Witcher, as it will have less room to make mistakes. The Witcher received a lot of backlash because it lacked accuracy to its source material. The Highlander reboot could present an opportunity to sidestep the pitfalls encountered by The Witcher. The part could also serve as the ideal successor to Cavill’s vacant Superman role.
The reason being, it comes with similar avenues for him to portray a leading man of incredible strength and powers. Highlander could be the ultimate comeback of Henry Cavill after his brief hiatus to recuperate and change gears from the two iconic roles. Slated for a 2026 release window, the movie could also add up to being the next biggest franchise in Cavill’s career after Man of Steel and The Witcher.
