Henry Cavill‘s career has been nothing short of entertaining over the last two decades. Whether he is playing a fictional detective or a double agent going head-to-head with Tom Cruise, he never fails to showcase his versatility as an actor. While some of his roles exhibited similar traits, a couple really shined as standout action-hero performances, including Superman and Geralt. Henry Cavill draped in the iconic Superman cape and clad in the armor of a monster hunter has held sway over the hearts of millions. 

Even though being the Man of Steel in a big movie might sound flashier, spending three seasons as Geralt might just be the role Cavill was born to play, especially when it comes to executing the action sequences. Here is why this claim holds water.

How did Henry Cavill nail the action scenes better as Geralt than Superman?

There is no denying that Henry Cavill morphed into Superman with his buffed-up physique, facial features, and hair that felt right out of a Superman comic. Even in a real-life showdown, Superman would crush Geralt without breaking a sweat. However, when it comes to the style and finesse in executing action sequences, Cavill’s Geralt in The Witcher brought in a bit more oomph. The reason being, Cavill’s in-depth knowledge about Geralt as a Witcher fan and the fact that he choreographed many of his actions.

Cavill’s physique screamed superhero, or in this context, a monster hunter. While not every fight in the series was dripped with gore, each one was captivating for different reasons. The series presented many of Geralt’s fight scenes with a level of choreography and cinematography that could easily be mistaken for scenes from the video game. However, there is one character of Henry Cavill who might just outshine both Geralt and Superman.

The upcoming and much-anticipated Highlander Reboot could easily surpass Cavill’s past projects- and his recent failures. And here is why.

Highlander can replace both Geralt and Superman 

Henry Cavill’s part in the Highlander reboot stands above his past projects, including The Witcher, as it will have less room to make mistakes. The Witcher received a lot of backlash because it lacked accuracy to its source material. The Highlander reboot could present an opportunity to sidestep the pitfalls encountered by The Witcher. The part could also serve as the ideal successor to Cavill’s vacant Superman role.

The reason being, it comes with similar avenues for him to portray a leading man of incredible strength and powers. Highlander could be the ultimate comeback of Henry Cavill after his brief hiatus to recuperate and change gears from the two iconic roles. Slated for a 2026 release window, the movie could also add up to being the next biggest franchise in Cavill’s career after Man of Steel and The Witcher.
