“So much love”- Jamie Campbell Bower Recalls the Time Millie Bobby Brown Won Over Him on the Sets of ‘Stranger Things'
Stranger Things season 5 is currently preparing to detonate a cinematic explosion on fans. For now, there is hope that the show will grace screens in 2025 and finally provide the much-needed closure the entire fandom has been seeking. One of the biggest highlights of the fourth installment, which will also remain so in the final showdown, is Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower. Despite being a late addition to the series, the actor has developed a heartwarming connection with the show and its cast, including his British co-star, Millie Bobby Brown.
Recently, Bower recalled one of his first interactions with Millie Bobby Brown before stepping into the shoes of the Upside Down antagonist.

Jamie Campbell Bower recently appeared on Kristian Harloff’s The Big Thing Show podcast to promote his new movie, Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1. During the conversation, he reminisced about the time he was asked to do a table-read for Vecna. He recalled sitting behind Millie Bobby Brown, and the 20-year-old turned around and looked at him. That was the moment when he realized “there is so much trust here” and added, “so much love” for him.
Jamie Campbell Bower saw how “open” Brown was, which made him believe that his entire experience was going to be “absolute fire”. Then unexpectedly, the pandemic struck. Filming for Stranger Things season 4 was halted for half a year, along with other Netflix shows at that time. Season 5 also faced a similar fate, with delays stemming from Hollywood strikes.
Although the strikes are now in the rearview mirror, Campbell Bower recently hinted that the show will take more time to release.

Jamie Campbell Bower gave a quick interview with Variety at the premiere of Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 in Los Angeles. While sharing his feelings about the show coming to an end, the actor revealed that the fifth installment is not yet close to finishing filming. “We are not there yet,” said the 35-year-old, explaining why he does not yet feel the emotional impact of saying goodbye to the show.
The actor believes that as he gets closer to the end of filming, the melancholy will hit him, similar to what happened at the end of season 4's filming. A similar sentiment was also hinted at by Maya Hawke not too long ago. While all signs point to a delayed release of Stranger Things, it is sure to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride seeing Campbell Bower’s Vecna in the ultimate showdown with Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven.
