“She won’t give them up”- Maya Hawke Has Been Successfully Gatekeeping the ‘Stranger Things’ 5 Spoilers, Says Father Ethan Hawke
With Netflix’s biggest blockbuster, Stranger Things, gearing to wrap up the franchise, it is only natural for fans to be carried away by the overwhelming updates and reforms. And cinema-loving family members of the lead actors are no exception either. With the excitement mounting sky high for the Duffer brothers to unveil the showdown, the actors have been up to their necks to do justice to the fans' expectations. Meanwhile, safeguarding the spoilers is another affair they should take care of.
The reserved quick-wit who outplayed all previous teenagers from season 3, Robin, has been doing it quite well. So much so that her own father has a few complaints.

Keeping secrets from one's father can be a bit of a task, especially when he is a four-time Oscar nominee. This is something that even Maya Hawke struggles with. In an interview with People for his upcoming flick Wildcat, Ethan Hawke belted out his frustration regarding his daughter's strict no-spoiler policy. "I nudge her for them and she won't give them up!” he said.
Hawke revealed that his star daughter thinks her father “got a big mouth” so no details have been spilled out, not even “to dear old dad." This revelation is just an indication that whatever is cooking up on the sets of Stranger Things Season 5, its plot could not be anymore thicker.
Perhaps to further dwell into its depth or simply avoid the constant poking of her father for spoilers, Maya Hawke along with the rest of the cast seem to be spending a lot of time on the set as per a recent update.

Earlier this year, Maya Hawke along with Stranger Things’ fan-favorite 'mommy' of the group Steve Harrington played by Joe Keery graced the first set images shared by Duffer Brothers. Dressed in retro-style 80s outfits, the duo posed for a behind-the-scenes snapshot at the set, giving fans a sneak peek into Day 1 of production. Hawke also featured in the back of Finn Wolfhard's earliest images from the Season 5 sets.
The majority of the main cast is more or less the same as fans have come upon several updates from the sets. Starting from Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, and Noah Schnapp as Will in the spotlight this time, all of them would come back unscathed. Except for the absence of a few characters, the Netflix original has brought the OG cast back to the set for what is expected to be a spectacular final season.
