Certain roles equipped with just the right amount of brilliance in storytelling and performance manage to create an impact that is famously coined as larger than life. When running through the ebbs of Hollywood, one can notice this in the face bearers for different genres. Much like how Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway are the beaming faces of all things romance, Rosamund Pike has held the ground for the thriller genre.

With a glare sharp enough to slice through the plot and a presence that lingers long after the credits roll, Pike gave the audience one of the best from the thriller genre, Gone Girl. Therefore, as a thriller project surfaced with Pike's name in bold, Netflix naturally decided to give a shoot-on-sight order.

Rosamund Pike is one actress who has navigated success both on the small and big screen while giving a blockbuster with movies like Gone Girl and excelling in television with Saltburn. Netflix has identified the winning elements of the two and decided to give it a good mix in its upcoming series, currently named Thumblite as per Deadline.

The series will be bringing Rosamund Pike back to home grounds owing to its thriller label while also making sure the grandeur from Saltburn is carried on, albeit in a different light, as the show will be set in Silicon Valley. With the talented hands of Scott Z. Burns already at work in order to churn out a stellar script and Scott Galloway ready to produce the same, it seems Thumblite is all set to catch lightning in a bottle.

While the cast and crew are exciting as is, Rosamund Pike's new Netflix series is not holding back the intrigue in the premise as well.

Thumblite is by all means a corporate thriller. Given the names involved, Media Res, in particular, with projects like The Morning Show under its belt, that the events about to unfold will be ruthless and exciting would not be a wild guess. In a rough framework provided by Variety, the series will follow brokers who will go above and beyond the moral lines to get what they want, ensuring a metaphorical or literal blood bath.

For Netflix, which had just a few years ago set the stage for original content with several young adult shows, Thumblite is a ray of hope for various reasons. While the streamer may have done spectacularly with teenage shows and grand movies, the number of long-running adult series' that have hit the ball out of the park are far few. Moreover, almost all its well-performing shows have either ended or are on their way to the ultimate battle. Therefore, a Rosamund Pike starrer Silicon Valley thriller series is just the cup of tea it needs.
