In February 2024, A24 unveiled plans for this film helmed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland. The duo co-wrote the script and aimed to direct together. Alongside May December actor Charles Melton, stars like Heartstopper sensation Kit Connor and others joined the cast last year. Principal photography kicked off in May 2024 in London.
