Netflix Announces 5 Exciting Projects With Oscar Winner Tyler Perry for 2025
While lesser streamers, bless their hearts, toil in vain, despite grasping at the coattails of the industry's most over-caffeinated studios, Netflix has done what Netflix does best: counted its billions. Specifically, $10.25 billion, a sum that surpassed the anticipated $10.11 billion. With such impressive results trickling in, the root of its success becomes pretty obvious: its spectacular content catalog. And with the new year rolling in, the streamer has given the best example by welcoming five Tyler Perry projects.
The OTT Mogul has been diving into the archives in search of silver linings, making Tyler Perry's five-project announcement the biggest preview of what the year holds for Netflix and its viewers.

While Netflix has ensured that there is enough content on its platform that can simply be played in the background while the viewers go on with their chores, it is also exceptional in bringing forth content that requires unblinking attention. And Oscar-winning filmmaker Tyler Perry's movies fall in the latter category. Beauty in Black Part Two, Madea's Destination Wedding, She the People, Straw, and R&B, all Tyler Perry productions are coming to Netflix.
While the streamer has not unveiled the exact date of when these titles are set to air, if its pattern is anything to go by, then these Tyler Perry projects will be gracing the platform anytime between February to March. Out of five, two of the projects are brand new, with Madea's Destination Wedding following A Madea Homecoming in 2022.
Netflix's upcoming slate looks quite Perry-licious, but that is not to say that the streamer does not already have an array of eye catching titles.
Netflix's grand 2025 revamp
The OTT Mogul is taking its sweet time dropping newer works, but it has ensured that its viewers have other interesting projects to dive in and pull apart. Having lost popular franchises like Hunger Games the past year, Netflix only picked the best to add to its catalog in 2025, with an A24 hit among them.

While the streamer is currently providing shelter to already proven content, with the third and final season of Squid Game dropping in June, Stranger Things Season 5 and The Witcher's upcoming season starring Liam Hemsworth ready to drop through, not many things can slow down Netflix's high train.
