The Knives Out franchise has in the current realm of cinema single-handedly managed to keep the surreal thrill of the classic whodunnits alive. After bringing back to life the mystery genre back in 2019, the franchise rose to its zenith with Glass Onion: A Knives Out mystery on Netflix. Riding off the coattails of the second movie, the franchise announced the third movie in May 2024. Now further, amping up the ante, Glenn Close has given a taste of the grand experience.

Titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the movie has gone all out with the cast this time around, and Close's involvement is proof of the same. As if that was not convincing enough, the Golden Globes winner has given more reason to both herself and the audience to tune in for the movie.

Directed by the genius Rian Johnson once again, reasons do not need to be presented for the audience to once again show Netflix a whole new world when Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery comes to town. However, Glenn Close, the award-winning legend herself, has stepped up to crown the movie as "truly one of the best experiences," of her life in an exclusive with PEOPLE.

The Oscar award nominee had only the best of things to say for the director as well as the cast of the movie. Given how the announcement itself came in earlier this year, it will be a while before the movie makes it to the screens. Regardless, with Glenn Close herself calling it one of the best experiences, there is no reason why fans would not feel the same.

Since the very beginning, the Knives Out franchise has received no complaints about the lack of star power with Chris Evans and Ana de Armas starring in the first movie and Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista following it up in the second. However, with the involvement of Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, and the "two hot priests" Andrew Scott and Josh O' Connor, the third installment of Knives Out is aiming to break the glass ceiling.

With the plot still under wraps for obvious reasons, fans have only the prowess of Rian Johnson and a star-studded cast to trust. To further amp up the ante, the rumored budget of $40 million for the first movie itself sets up a grand stage for the suspected grand budget of the third movie, giving the audience all the more reason to tune in.
