Jeff Goldblum as Zeus? Fans Question Netflix’s Casting Choice After the ‘KAOS’ Teaser
For the last year, Netflix seems to have been running on a fiery streak. With hit after hit, no matter the genre, it seemed as though the streaming giant could do nothing wrong. However, that was not the case. After teasing a Jeff Goldblum addition to what was once meant to be a Hugh Grant project, the media company finally chose to make their plans a reality and jumped into shooting for a comedy series, KAOS.
Although the project initially excited fans, that changed after the teaser for the show made its way online. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Netflix UK & Ireland shared the first teaser for Goldblum’s upcoming comedy show. The clip featured the 71-year-old portraying the Greek God of the sky, Zeus. However, unlike most gods, the character made his way to Earth to stir things up.

In the video, Jeff Goldblum’s character seemed to have an air of cruelty and darkness around him, which did not match the actor’s usual behavior. The post also explained that the show has been created by the same creative mind behind the streamer’s The End of the F*cking World series. However, the streaming company is yet to set a release date for the upcoming sitcom.
While the teaser seemed to interest some of the star’s fan following, everyone seemed to have different thoughts about the casting of the series.
Netizens remain on the fence about Jeff Goldblum’s Kaos
After the teaser for Jeff Goldblum’s Kaos was dropped, fans had a lot more questions about the series. The description of the show claimed it was a comedy. However, the first look showed fans a different side. Although fans were ecstatic about the actor taking on such an iconic role like Zeus, the genre seemed to cause a strong amount of confusion for some fans.
Many social media users could see nothing wrong with the casting and the genre. They just chose to focus on Goldblum coming back to the spotlight.
Although most of Goldblum’s fans were excited to see the star back in the saddle, some could not help but draw comparisons between his show and another Netflix favorite, Lucifer.
