On February 15th, the world witnessed the starlit evening of handing out trophies of honor at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Turning the pages of several successful stories, the television and cinematic achievements bowed down to their deserving pledges with recognition and applause. Since the battleground of sweeping titles was not just the penchant of celebrities present, a proper showdown of victories was inevitable between the streaming giants of today, including Netflix, HBO, FX, Apple TV+, Disney+, and Prime Video.

Both Netflix and HBO secured the top two positions with the most Emmys. However, it seems that Netflix had to take a humble defeat against HBO despite 22 wins.

In the past year, Netflix took the helm of several prime-time shows and movies to accelerate its position on the world’s screen time. Successfully, it most definitely did secure the target, as can be seen from the outpouring number of 22 Emmy Awards that it received this season. Despite raking the charts of anticipation, it looks like HBO might have had the upper hand in the winning charts because it bagged an astounding number of 31 victories against Netflix’s 22.

With 9 more winning names up its sleeve, there is no doubt that HBO has had the last laugh in the streaming wars. However, other platforms may have sunk the ship even lower. Following Netflix on the list, up next is FX with 16 wins. On the other hand, Apple TV+ has taken the titles of 10 accolades last evening with Disney+ left with 9. And journeying to the last position of cyber content clash, Prime Video has only been able to secure 6 wins.
