During the conversation with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast about the directors he hopes to work with, Joseph Quinn faced a question about whether he had set a goal to work with a specific director by a certain age as a measure of his success in the heart of Hollywood. Quinn quickly dispelled this notion, stating that such rigid aspirations would make him “pretty unhappy.”
Quinn acknowledged that he remains eager to seize opportunities and is prepared for a future where his goals may come to fruition. However, he also recognizes the unpredictable nature of reality and understands that life does not always follow a textbook definition of one's aspirations. While he knows how to dream, he also knows when to temper those dreams, keeping his doors open for any big opportunities.
