Netflix Celebrates The Win Of Komi Can’t Communicate At Anime Awards 2022

Animes are the most popular storytelling format around the world right now. They are thrilling, exciting, and a whole lot of fun to watch. Lucky for us Netflix has a huge plethora of animes that are available for streaming at any time. In the recent Anime Awards 2022, Netflix’s Komi Can’t Communicate went on to bag an award. Celebrating the occasion the Anime account of the streaming platform took to their Twitter account to share the news.

Komi Can’t Communicate wins Best Comedy

The sixth annual Anime Awards were held on February 9th. The awards aim to commemorate the past years’ animators, voice actors, and creators. The awards are always something that Anime lovers worldwide look forward to.

One of the major awards, Best Comedy, went to Komi Can’t Communicate(Komi-san wa, Komyushou Desu). The anime is about a gorgeous girl, Komi. Komi, a school-going girl, suffers from extreme social anxiety, blocking her from communicating.  It is when a classmate walks into Komi’s life that she tries to fight off her fear.

Komi Can’t Communicate is an engaging and must-watch as it puts the teenage problems of interacting and socializing in a new-modern light. The anime is extremely heartfelt and hysterical, especially in the scenes where Komi tries to communicate with others. Overcoming the social fear in a fun way is why the anime went on to win the award. In comparison to other nominees like Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, Heaven’s Design Team, and others, the audience went on to vote for Komi!

The annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards have an extensive list of awards that they give out through popular votes that the animes receive. The award includes the best boy, girl, best Voice actor for Japanese and other dubbed languages.

Komi Can’t Communicate isn’t the only fan favorite that ends up winning. Other winners of the night were, Best Anime of the year was given to Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1, Baku Kinoshita ended up winning the Best Director for ODDTAXI. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc bagged the Best Animation Award.
