Netflix To Do ‘One Piece’ Live Action Spinoffs? Here’s All We Know About the Rumors
Netflix is known for its ability to be completely off track when it comes to adaptations, as much as it is known for its diversity and quality content. The streamer is often drawn to already popular books and animations so that it can refurbish them and make them the next big thing. While fans excused the behavior for a while, the water reached the brim when the OTT Mogul got its hands on One Piece. However, contrary to its past attempts, Netflix broke the curse of anime adaptations to make way for one of the best live-action adaptations of all time.
Released in 2023, the show was all the buzz with fans pitching a season two, day and night. While there was no update on the update, the streamer finally has some good news for its One Piece live action fanbase.

With Netflix's nasty reputation in the case of anime live action adaptations before the release of the Emily Rudd starrer, it came as quite a surprise that the streamer simply sat on the praise for two years. However, as per famous scoop account MyTimetoShineHello on X, there are rumors of Netflix doing more projects in the universe.
While they may be miles apart, the path is similar to what Netflix took with The Witcher, where it created several shows, ranging from one main series to several spin-offs and even an animation. The latter, however, will not be possible in this case owing to the looming legacy of the original anime.
Despite not having released a second season, it seems the streamer always had a piece of One Piece in mind. After all, it became the series that washed off the many accusations of Netflix ruining every project it puts its hand on to make an adaptation, and this was no easy feat.

However, the streamer pushed for one more attempt with One Piece, searching every nook and cranny to cast fresh faces that fans would be excited to see on a set that took years to make, and succeeded marvelously at the same.
