However, because of the license expiration, the film will be leaving the American OTT platform on the 30th of October. The film was released on the 8th of April, 2011, and received generally unfavorable reviews. But the Cake star saved the film with her great comic timing and portrayed her character like an adult.

The film is about Dr. Daniel “Danny” Maccabee (Adam Sandler) pretending to be married to enjoy no-strings-attached relationships. Things changed when he met Palmer Dodge (Brooklyn Decker) who was the girl of his dreams. Now, instead of telling her the truth, Danny tells more lies and inserts his assistant, Katherine Murphy (Jennifer Aniston). One thing leads to another, and Danny has created a pile of lies for himself.

The film was originally titled Holiday in Hawaii, and then Pretend Wife. Ultimately, going with Just Go With It, the film was a Box Office success that earned $215 million against a budget of $80 million. Although breaking the Box Office records, the film did not do well in the audience’s and critics’ eyes. Interestingly, films that do not perform well also get recognition. This film also received recognition at the Golden Raspberry Awards winning 2 awards. Well, despite Just Go With It tanking in the eyes of critics and the audience, the friendship between Aniston and Sandler grew even stronger.
