The Grammys red carpet is where fashion dreams — and occasional nightmares — come to life, and this year was no exception. Music stars pulled out their wildest looks to stand apart from the crowd — but no one did it like Jaden Smith, son of actor Will Smith. Tonight, Jaden Smith hit the carpet in a black Louis Vuitton suit, shirt, and tie— and finished the ensemble with the most unexpected accessory imaginable.

Jaden Smith walked in with a giant castle perched right on top of his head. The elaborate diorama of a castle, with towers and details surrounding his head, left just a circular opening for his face to peek through. The creation was designed by ABODI and is apparently called Vampire Castle, valued at a hefty $4,602.80. Unsurprisingly, the look had fans immediately comparing it to Willem Dafoe's viral GQ Italia Man of the Year cover from 2023, where he wore a similar architectural headpiece.

Even Willow Smith embraced the avant-garde vibe for the evening. Willow wore a fierce black ensemble, with voluminous curls, while her metallic grills gleamed on her teeth — including one notable green grill on her front tooth. Unlike her brother, Willow was actually up for two awards this year. Jaden, on the other hand, was simply there to cheer on their dad who was presenting at the ceremony. Yet somehow, the 'SYRE' artist still managed to steal the spotlight with his architectural accessory.

Fans quickly flooded X with jokes, playfully trolling Jaden and reminding him that, no matter how hard he tries, he will never be Willem Dafoe.

The Grammys 2025 might just take the crown for the quirkiest red-carpet circus. From Joy Villa's dog necklace and Markos D1 arriving with a giant silver snake, to Julia Fox redefining headwear with a wig cap and Bianca Censori leaving very little to the imagination, celebrities were clearly on a mission to etch themselves into pop culture lore. But no one had people more baffled than Jaden Smith — which, to be fair, is not shocking when you realize the guy was literally wearing a house on his head. "You will never be him, " a fan referenced Willem Dafoe.

Fans poked fun at his failed attempt to channel Willem Dafoe with many house-related jokes. 

Jaden Smith has long been a fixture in the fashion world. From major collaborations to pushing for sustainable fashion, the actor-turned-singer clearly knows his way around a wardrobe. However, this time it seems his creativity did not quite land with people’s logic.
