In an interview with The New Yorker, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon shared his experience meeting Taylor Swift after collaborating on her 2020 albums 'folklore' and 'evermore'. Vernon revealed they did not meet in person until after 'folklore's release. When they finally met, he was not intimidated. Instead, he felt an instant connection, telling the publication what he felt of the songstress. "You're real and you're here,” said the Vernon of Swift.

The album continues to break records to this date, her latest win having come around August. It seemed as if Swift's pivot to indie-folk was a wise move, as fans ate it up like a Taylor-made cookie.
