“Yo dot ion got u"- Fans Accuse Ye for Ditching Kendrick Lamar After His 'thank Drake' Shoutout At China Concert
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Drake have had a long, winding relationship. Though they worked together early on in their careers, things took an unfortunate turn when Ye picked a very public feud with the 'God's Plan' rapper, that eventually led to a concert pushing for Larry Hoover’s release. Throughout the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, though, Ye made it quite clear that he was siding with the former. However, as usual, Ye’s unpredictable nature has left everyone confused about where his loyalty truly lies, again.
Ye went after Drizzy directly on his remix of Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar's 'Like That'- a track that set off the rap civil war of 2024 in the first place. But at his concert in China, the ‘Donda’ rapper took everyone by surprise when he gave Drake a shoutout before performing 'Yikes,' saying, “I wanna thank Drake for writing this chorus for me.” This was not the first time Ye had pulled this kind of unexpected move after the Kendrick Lamar and Drake drama.

Back in August, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign brought their 'Vultures 2' tour to South Korea for a show at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. During that show, Ye surprised his South Korean fans by riding into the arena on horseback and giving a shoutout to Drake. Before jumping into his 2007 track 'I Wonder,' he said, “This one is for Drake.” However, Ye’s confusing feelings for Drake are not sitting right with fans.
Fans took to X to call Ye out for what they see as ditching Kendrick Lamar with that shoutout to Drake.
Fans wonder if Ye switched sides from Kendrick Lamar to Drake
Ye has clearly shown he is in Kendrick Lamar’s corner, multiple times. Back in April, when the tension was high between Drake and Lamar, the 'Graduation' creator premiered his remix on Justin Laboy's radio show The Download and opened it with, “Yo Dot I got you.” He only played a snippet of the song. Even though a longer version of the remix later leaked online, it was hard to tell if it was real or just something made by fans. Now, fans are bringing up that line in response to Ye’s sudden change of heart towards Drake.
Many fans are comparing Ye and Drake to toxic exes, saying their relationship gets more ridiculous by the day.

In China, Ye also announced that his new album 'Bully' is on the way and even gave fans a little taste of one of the songs. However, it is still uncertain whether he has managed to let go of the hard feelings he had towards Drake over the past few months.
