Ye ‘Unlock’ Leak: Fans Have a Double Celebration as Unreleased Track With Ty Dolla $ign Leaks Online
When it comes to the past decade of rap, leaks have become the name of the game. Much of this can be traced back to the industry itself. With guest verses zipping across continents, samples getting swapped around, and vocalists being traded like cards- the risk of leaks in the industry at the moment is quite high. Just a few hours ago, two of Ye, aka Kanye West's unreleased projects made their way online. This would have been a cataclysmic event some years ago, but even today, it has sparked a lively celebration on social media.
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s unreleased track from 'Vultures,’ called ‘Unlock,’ is the latest to be revealed on the internet. The duo debuted this track before the release of their joint album 'Vultures' back in January. They premiered it on Chicago radio station Power 92 with DJ Pharris. ‘Unlock’ was intended to be the closing song on the first volume of the album and is also one of the few tracks without any guest features. But it never really hit the streaming platforms. Nonetheless, this was not the first time Ye had teased ‘Unlock'.

In August, at a ‘Vultures 2' party in Los Angeles, Ye took over the DJ booth and treated the crowd to an endless mix of eclectic ‘80s hits. Among the many tracks he spun, there was a moment when fans picked up on some ‘Unlock’ vibes from one of the songs. That little tease really got the excitement bubbling among fans.
Now that the unreleased track is finally out, although, through a leak, fans are celebrating the long-awaited release on Reddit.

Ye’s albums keep leaking, and no one seems to know where they are coming from. But hip-hop fans, nonetheless, are having the time of their lives. While some are saying, “Today is a good day,” others are feeling a sense of victory, shouting, “WE WON I CAN DIE AHOOY.” Many are also sending their love to the anonymous hero who leaked the song, exclaiming, “I LOVE U THE GAS GOON WHO LEAKED THIS.” However, not all comments were sunshine and rainbows.
There were a few fans who felt that their long wait was not quite worth it. One fan asked, “Why does the beat sound so mellow?” while another seemed to be caught in confusion about the track, saying, “Is this kinda mid or am I tweaking?” Still, coming just a few hours after the leak of Ye’s unreleased music video for his 2008 song, ‘RoboCop,’ this definitely calls for a double celebration in his fandom.
