Despite his silence on updates regarding 'Vultures 2,' Ye, formerly Kanye West, is now a towering presence in the social realm. With hip-hop experiencing a revival of its classic era, tensions among industry figures have escalated, intensifying the fervor surrounding the genre. And naturally drawn to such controversies, the Atlanta rapper has inserted himself into the fray, openly endorsing his chosen side amidst the chaos with a surprise release with Metro Boomin and Future.

Ye is presently ruling the search engine results on X and it is all thanks to his buzzing entry to the diss-verse of hip-hop’s landscape. Nearly a month after Kendrick Lamar stirred the pot with his jabs at J. Cole and Drake in 'Like That,' Ye joined the fray recently with a remix of the track featuring the original collaborators, Metro Boomin and Future. Premiering first on Justin LaBoy’s radio show The Download before hitting YouTube on Saturday, the remix quickly made waves and became a go-to track for every playlist in no time.

This remix arrived hot on the heels of Drake's response, dropping two consecutive diss tracks, 'Push Ups' and 'Taylor Made Freestyle,' which hit streaming platforms and the rapper's social media on Saturday. While the second track aimed to provoke a response from Lamar, many were surprised when Ye fired back instead. By aligning himself in this rap feud, Ye took a blow to his arch-nemesis but also escalated matters with an X-rated meme aimed at J. Cole.

Even though fans worldwide reveled in this intense exchange reminiscent of hip-hop's golden era, with Adin Ross's reaction amplifying the buzz, it is worth noting that J. Cole, a notable figure in the discourse, stepped back from the exchange just weeks ago.

It was Kendrick Lamar who ignited the flames with his track 'Like That,' directed at J. Cole but Cole wasted no time in retaliating with '7 Minute Grill,' his response to Lamar's diss. However, on April 12, fans noticed that the track had been removed from streaming services such as Apple Music, YouTube, and Spotify. While the removal was somewhat anticipated since he made an announcement about his intentions to withdraw during the Dreamville Music Festival, it solidified fans' belief that Kendrick Lamar now held the crown.

The rapper expressed his dissatisfaction with the song, deeming it the weakest part of an otherwise proud project. While fans initially thought this marked the end of the rap battle, Drake soon entered the fray with lyrical attacks aligned with the feud while Ye's subsequent involvement propelled him to become the most-searched entity on X. While for now, the ultimate victor of the battle remains undetermined, with the ongoing intense exchanges, it is expected that all doubts will soon be put to rest.
