While Ye has dropped several tracks this year in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign and Travis Scott, they could not even make it halfway to the stature that Ye's previous works held, sending ripples across the music industry as critics and fans alike wondered what happened to Ye's lyricism. And 'Y3' was supposedly a shot at changing the narrative.
Taking his shot at the washed-out allegations, the Atlanta rapper has hit the right note with 'So Soon' for some fans, while for others he has only ruffled feathers.
So Soon from Y3 has Ye fans divided
While divided is never a stance that the music realm is a stranger to, it has almost never had a chance with Ye fans. The rapper, regarded as one of the best of all time, not only as a lyricist but as a record producer as well, always managed to win people with his music if not with his viral antics. However, divided is now a recurrent theme in Ye's discography, especially as he aims to rise to his previous ranks in 2024. This was especially evident by fan reaction towards the 'So Soon' leak from 'Y3'.
The short snippet of the track had some fans cheering as they remarked how their artist was still the greatest of all time. However, it had others who had tuned in to experience the same kind of lyrical magic as 'Donda', scratching their heads.

Furthermore, despite the havoc that it has wrecked, 'Y3' is not 'Bully', Ye's actual evidence against the washed-out allegations. And while it may be true that Ye might be releasing albums too soon, after the professional drought that tormented his fans, anything from the rapper is much appreciated.
