After a month full of antisemitic overdrive, industry call-outs, and the most controversial Yeezy stock-up of all time, the Atlanta-born rapper recently made waves with the announcement of the return of the Sunday Service choir. Although the declaration was quite sudden and definitely unpredictable, fans have been on their toes with an anticipation that this would somehow lead to the elusive ‘Bully’ if not ‘Vultures 3.’ 

Days after sending fans on the edge of their seats with the surprise, the ‘Jesus is King’ rapper has now rolled out a recruitment slot. But true to his characteristic chaos, it comes with a weird catch.

Whenever Ye ignites the buzz on socials, the world braces for the most unexpected impact. But right when fans were convinced there was no slowing down on his tirades on X, the 47-year-old left them in shock with the return of his iconic Sunday Service choir. Now, the rapper has taken over social media with a recruitment update, seeking male choir vocalists between the age of 5-14. “Sunday service the next frontier is recruiting male choir members,” Ye wrote on Instagram. 

The recruitment drive, however, comes with a special clause. As per the post, those selected for the choir position will have to shave their heads for the role. It does not apply during the audition, but once the members are given the green light, they must abide by it. Although the poster enlists March 12 & 13 as the audition dates, according to his caption, open auditions will be held on Thursday from 4 PM onwards. It is unclear whether one round of auditions is already done and dusted.

It came accompanied by a screenshot of a text exchange between him and White, leaving fans utterly perplexed about what it could mean. However, with an audition drive in place, fans might find their answers soon.
