Ye Reignites His Dream for DROAM City Once Again, This Time With a Cryptic Picture
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is not just a rap icon—he is also infamous for his outrageous statements, unpredictable behavior, and off-the-wall ideas. And one of his most bizarre or 'ambitious' ideas to date might just be the DROAM City. The rapper has been working for years on plans to create a self-sustaining city in the Middle East called DROAM, supposedly as a move to escape America, where he is still considered controversial. While the city is still in Phase 1 of development, Ye is on the lookout for partners to help bring his vision to life.
Though Ye has not explicitly confirmed any updates on DROAM yet, some believe he may have dropped a hint in a recent Instagram post.

Ye recently shared a very weird post on Instagram, which is nothing surprising to his followers. The post was of an image that featured two mysterious figures—one of a naked man sitting in the outer circle of a white, maze-like structure and another of a woman standing in the middle of an inner circle. No one knows what the post meant, but the caption, which simply read “Droam,” has once again linked it to his dream of a Middle Eastern city. This was not the first time Ye teased the DROAM project in a cryptic manner.
Last year, Ye shared a picture of his 20,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion on his Instagram Story, alongside a sketch of his vision for the property. The design featured a gray oval with a red outline, partially surrounded by green. Ye labeled the sketch “DROAM,” suggesting he might transform the property into a prototype for his dream city. Unsurprisingly, this idea did not sit well with his Beverly Hills neighbors.
Several residents near Ye’s mansion opposed the idea, even going so far as to call him “delusional.”
Ye’s neighbors think DROAM is nothing more than a dream
Ye’s Beverly Hills neighbors are not at all thrilled about his DROAM plans. Last year, TMZ reached out to several residents in the exclusive North Beverly Park gated community— right after his cryptic Instagram story made the rounds— to get their take on Ye’s supposed DROAM vision. Unsurprisingly, no one seemed eager to let Ye reinvent their neighborhood to suit his ideas.

For starters, there is not much land left in the area. Therefore, any such project would require tearing down the existing properties. The residents also pointed to Ye’s infamous Malibu mansion as evidence that he might not be the right man for such a bold undertaking. Others expressed concerns about his global celebrity status potentially attracting unwanted attention and fan chaos to the area. But given Ye's history and the hints that he has been dropping, he is unlikely to let a little neighborhood drama stop him from fulfilling his ambitions.
