The last couple of years have been a real treat for fans of live music. After being cooped up during the pandemic for what felt like an eternity, fans flocked to concerts and festivals to see their favorite artists perform. While it is well-known how much business Taylor Swift has pulled with her Eras Tour, it seems like the moment of truth has arrived for her to face some stiff competition from one of her biggest rivals, Ye, earlier known as Kanye West.

Ye appears to be finally listening to the fans' cries, with rumors of a South Korean concert making waves all across the Asian continent. But is it actually happening?

There has been a wave of rumors floating around in South Korea hinting at a potential Ye tour in Asia. These rumors began when Austin Taylor, Ye's creative director, was spotted in the Gangnam and Ilsan areas. According to a report by Rolling Stone, Taylor visited several facilities, including Incheon and Goyang Stadium, to scope out the concert’s scheduling. This, coupled with Ye’s strong connection to his Asian fanbase, has sparked hopes about an upcoming Asia tour.

Ye has repeatedly expressed his desire to perform for his Asian fans. Insiders suggest that the anticipated concert in South Korea could happen as early as this year. The opening of a YEEZY pop-up store and observed activities by officials from the concert promoter and PR agency have not helped with the speculations either. However, there is a chance that this buzz, much like February's rumored Asian concert, could remain only a figment of imagination.

As the excitement for ‘Vultures’ listening parties was in full swing earlier this year, Ye decided to start a silent campaign among his followers to secure venues for potential concerts. The rapper shared a screenshot from one of his fan interactions, where the fan listed three venues for him to perform: Corcovado in Brazil, the Giza Pyramids, and the Great Wall of China. This Instagram story led to a rumor about him performing at the Great Wall of China.

Simultaneously, talks were circulating about him embarking on a world tour that could span from Tokyo to Toronto. Despite all the speculations and excitement among fans, the China concert, or the Tokyo one for that matter, remained just a rumor and nothing more. The hope now is that the anticipated South Korean shows will not meet the same fate.
