In a story reported by The Daily Mail, it is said that Ye's long-time manager, John Monopoly, has parted ways with the rapper. “Everyone has gone. Either he’s fired them, or they have quit because of his behavior," said an unnamed source to the outlet. The insider pointed to two possible causes for Ye’s dwindling team: the rapper either dismissed his employees on a whim, or they walked away because of his "behavior".

This is a grave loss for Ye, as the news also reported that Monopoly, whom he has been working with since he was a teenager, is in Chicago and helped Ye big time in building up his singing career. Speaking about their bond to HipHopDX in 2004, Monopoly said that they used to be production partners and make beats together in high school. He acknowledged that he ultimately became Ye's manager.
