While 2024 has been one of the busiest years in the music arena in recent times, Hip-hop specifically met a new high after years of lull. With Travis Scott re-releasing his album, Kendrick Lamar unleashing an unprecedented attack on Drake, and most importantly, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, making a comeback, all the stars were aligned for the year to be Hip-hop's. However, it seems since the last big reunion of the industry, a lot has changed, as evidenced by the BET Hip-hop Awards 2024.
