Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, facing a legal issue is no longer the jaw-dropper it once was. However, his settling a legal matter definitely catches the eye, as that does not happen very often. Thanks to his bold and unfiltered persona, Ye often finds himself in lawsuits, which have now piled up into a mountain of legal troubles. From copyright infringement and alleged contract breaches to a slew of other startling accusations, the rapper has been pouring a fortune into lawyers lately.

Ye, however, recently managed to check one lawsuit off his lengthy list- a case that dates all the way back to 2022.

Ye, recently, settled a lawsuit with autograph seeker Justin Poplawski. Surprisingly, the ‘Donda’ rapper decided to accept the terms laid out by Poplawski, who claimed that Ye punched him after he asked for an autograph near the Soho Warehouse social club in Los Angeles. Poplawski sought unspecified damages for medical bills and the emotional strain- which the autograph seeker claimed to be greater than any physical ache- he endured following the alleged incident.

Throughout this ordeal, Ye has consistently maintained he was innocent. His legal team argued that the 47-year-old was merely defending himself and was justified in his actions. The rapper's team also claimed that he acted "reasonably and in good faith at all times". Nonetheless, this is not the first time the ‘Graduation’ creator found himself in a battery lawsuit.

In April, multiple gossip outlets reported that Ye was named in a battery report filed with the LAPD. The Daily Mirror noted that an investigation was underway for assault charges after Ye allegedly attacked an individual who had bumped into Bianca Censori. This incident involved twin brothers Mark and Jonnie Houston, with one of them being accused of assaulting Censori.

During the altercation at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, Ye reportedly punched the wrong twin. Yeezy Chief of Staff Milo Yiannopoulos explained to The Mirror that Censori was not merely bumped into; she was "physically assaulted." Nevertheless, despite his track record of battery charges, it seemed both parties managed to sort things out behind closed doors.
