Ye Joins Hands as A$AP Rocky Walks Clean From Legal Trouble

Since his return to the mainstream after 18 months of creative catnap, Ye, formerly Kanye West, has had anything but a smooth sail in the entertainment capital. With roadblocks from DSPs, backlash surrounding his contemplative rollouts followed by mounting legal troubles and his latest antisemitic overdrive, the Atlanta-born native has gone rogue on the social grid. But amidst the fury brewing within A-listers, Ye affirmed his allegiance to A$AP Rocky after the latter was recently dismissed of legal charges.
Despite making his supporters turn into haters within days, Ye just took to his Instagram to share a picture of A$AP Rocky hot on the heels of the news breaking out about his legal clearance. The ‘Vultures’ rapper captioned the picture with the emoji joining hands, underscoring his support for Rocky during his trying times. For those uninitiated, Rocky was recently found not guilty by a Los Angeles jury on two felony charges.

On Tuesday, the jury gave its verdict for A$AP Rocky after less than a day of deliberation following charges for two counts of first-degree premeditated attack with a semi-automatic firearm. Following the legal dismissal, Rocky reportedly jumped into his family and girlfriend Rihanna’s arms. “Thank y’áll for saving my life,” Rocky said to the 12-person jury before leaving the courtroom.
Though Ye’s show of support came unexpectedly following his latest string of severed ties with industry peers, it was quite a change of pace from his latest row of antisemitic content. However, this was not the only off-grid thing the rapper recently made headlines for.
Ye pats Nike for its latest drop weeks after Adidas call-out

But on Tuesday, the ‘Vultures’ artist broke the Internet with praises for Nike, an industrial rival of the German giant. Ye took to his Instagram to share his reaction to the new Nike GT Future.

According to Ye, the design really “INSPIRED” Yeezy because it was “SOMETHING NEW AND SPECIAL.” This was followed by Kim Kardashian’s announcement of NikeSKIMS, a collection for “the body obsessed.” The collection, set to debut this spring, had fans debating whether the timing was a mere coincidence. But it turns out it was just the tip of the iceberg awaiting from his coattails.
