Ye Fans Point to Two New “biggest opps” Besides Adidas, Blaming Them All for the ‘Vultures’ Rapper’s Downfall
From collaborating with Nike this year following his infamous dispute with German giant Adidas to traveling abroad in bizarre bathrobes, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has been doing everything except releasing 'Vultures 2.' As he continues to be sidetracked, fans have remained vigilant, eagerly awaiting the album despite no updates. However, his recent performance in Japan has tested their patience, with fans attributing his downfall to two new obstacles.
Recently, the 'Donda' rapper surprised fans with an unannounced appearance at Wangmania, a pro-wrestling event in Tokyo, Japan, alongside 88Keys and Alexander Wang. The Atlanta rapper not only attended the high-profile event but also delivered an energetic performance in the wrestling ring, featuring tracks from 'Vultures 1.' A fan, Jasper, shared a clip of the performance on X, quipping that the rapper's "biggest opps" are Adidas, release dates, and microphones.

The latter two were a subtle jab at the perpetual delay of 'Vultures 2' and his microphone-less performance within the wrestling ring. The event marked a rare public appearance for West, who has been keeping a low profile and traveling abroad. Typically, when Ye picks up the mic, a mic-drop moment is imminent. However, this is not the first time the anticipated mic-drop moment was absent, as he never picked one during the Rolling Loud spectacle as well.
Fans were seemingly frustrated with the rapper’s recent actions and in expression, they did not keep the subtlety intact, placing the mic-drop memes one after another.
Fans resort to a brutal troll fest following Ye’s performance at Wangmania
Ye has a longstanding history of disputes with microphones. From snatching one from Taylor Swift's hand at the MTV Music Awards in 2009 to throwing his own during a 'Donda 2' event, there have been numerous unfortunate moments. However, fans also directed their frustration towards the ongoing delay of 'Vultures 2', noting that every time he touches a mic, it seems to harm his career for at least "the next 3 months."
Many fans were joking about Ye's ongoing beef with microphones, while others were clearly unimpressed, suggesting they would be fine if he decided to skip his world tour if this was the result.

Even though fans have maintained their enthusiasm despite repeated delays, this time, their patience seemed to be wearing thin due to the lack of updates about his album. Some seemed disappointed that Ye appeared to prioritize everything else except the record he had promised. However, as the king of unpredictability, Ye has the ability to turn things around if he truly desires. Similarly, in time, the clouds hanging over 'Vultures 2' may clear as well once he takes a glimpse at the mounting dismay in fans.
