A new day, a new lawsuit. Ye, aka Kanye West, is up to his neck in a flood of lawsuits tied to business practices, harassment claims, alleged use of problematic language, berating employees for their identities, and more. While controversies and legal woes are nothing new for the 'Donda' rapper, the mountain of lawsuits seems to keep piling up. In fact, Ye is barely closing one case before another comes knocking.
Now, the rapper is tangled up in yet another legal web, this time over misleading an employee contract and alleged payment shortfalls.

New York composer Willie Alexander has filed a lawsuit against Ye. It all began when the rapper brought Alexander on board to compose music for his opera, Nebuchadnezzar. According to court documents, Alexander was asked to fly on short notice and whip up an unwritten composition in just four days. He kept plugging away at the project until performance day but never received a dime for his work.

While working on Ye’s opera, Alexander faced missed job opportunities and financial strain. Now, he is seeking unspecified damages, citing that Ye’s team was not upfront about the job expectations and failed to compensate him for his efforts. Alexander is not the only one who has raised this issue. In fact, Ye allegedly did not bother to pay the person who was meant to help him out of his legal mess, either.
Earlier this year, Ye’s lawyer requested to bow out of nine cases due to unpaid fees and a lack of communication from the ‘Vultures’ creator.

Back in August, Ye’s lawyer, Brian Brumfield, said that Ye had disappeared, leaving an unpaid legal bill hanging over him. This came after it was reported that the Yeezy owner had taken a trip all the way to Moscow. Because of this, Brumfield decided to ask to withdraw from nine civil cases. He had also previously sought to step away from a case involving Justin Poplawski, which the rapper settled just last month.

On top of that, Brumfield has officially been taken off a case with GAP, which is looking for damages from Ye over alleged unapproved changes to a storefront that was leased to Gap for the Yeezy line. Now, it is to be seen how long this new Willie Alexander lawsuit will take to sort out or if it will just stack up with Ye’s other unresolved legal issues.
