Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures 2’ is starting to feel like the final piece needed to complete the Atlanta rapper's legendary discography as it struggles to make its way out of limbo. Although the release of the first volume in February led fans to believe they had struck gold, the absence of subsequent parts made them wonder if their good fortune had finally run out. However, after months of delays, the album that was supposed to mark the ‘Donda’ artist's comeback has ultimately given enthusiasts a reason to celebrate with the long-awaited news about its release date.

Although many had nearly given up on the record due to its persistent delays, the new update has undone all the shortcomings.

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures 2’ was initially scheduled for release on March 8. However, after numerous delays, an X page called VIZION, reportedly managed by Massimo Venezia, the former head of YZY app development, recently announced a new expected release date of August 15. TotalYe on X confirmed the details about Venezia while VIZION clarified that the update comes from a reliable insider. Previously, the Atlanta rapper had a notoriously troubled rollout for ‘Vultures 1’.

‘Vultures 1’ release was initially scheduled for December, then January, before the musical duo finally set the album's launch for February. Earlier, West told The Download podcast host Justin LaBoy that the second volume would come out on May 3—nearly two months later than originally planned. However, this recent update is the most promising news since the podcast, as both artists had remained silent about the album’s new release date, with West even taking a brief hiatus from his social media.

Ty Dolla $ign recently set the stage ablaze at the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary, Canada, performing tracks from both ‘Vultures’ volumes 1 and 2. What got fans' hearts racing, however, was his promise to release ‘Vultures 2’very f**king soon.” This was not the first time $ign had made such a promise; last month, in an interview with Billboard, he confirmed that the follow-up album was on the way.

Besides this, in June, during a livestream with Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, $ign also hinted that the album could drop any day, even as soon as the next day. While these updates lacked solid confirmation from Ye and additional sources, the situation has changed dramatically, as two new updates on ‘Vultures 2’ have emerged within a week, suggesting its release is indeed on the horizon.
