Ye and Pharrell Williams’ 3-Year-Old Funny Wholesome Clip Takes Over the Internet

Two of the greatest music producers in the hip-hop world, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams, have constantly been part of comparisons. Fans and pundits have spent years trying to decide who wears the crown in music production but always end up empty-handed because both of them are just that good. While the industry keeps pitting them against each other, Ye and Pharrell Williams have, in fact, always supported each other as long-time friends and collaborators.

A display of their bond has been captured in a three-year-old video of the two artists. Both Ye and Pharrell Williams attended the Virgil Abloh Louis Vuitton show in 2021. In a resurfaced clip from the show, the ‘Number One’ artists were seen vibing to 'Tudo Que Você Podia Ser' by the Brazilian girls' group Quarteto em Cy. Ye and Williams were seen playing an imaginative synthesizer in the air while vibing to the track.

Both Ye and Pharrell Williams have consistently taken each other's side in interviews. Last year, Williams was referred to as Louis Vuitton Don by another fellow producer and rapper, Swizz Beatz. The ‘Happy’ creator immediately corrected Beatz, saying, “Louis Vuitton Don is the one great Kanye West, period.” Meanwhile, the ‘Donda’ rapper has been on record saying how Williams has influenced his fashion and music.

The pair, however, also have a shared talent for sampling songs. And as this clip resurfaced, fans could not resist making playful jabs at it.

Fans jest about Ye and Pharrell Williams considering sampling the Brazilian song

Ye and Pharrell Williams' most popular collaboration, 'Number One,' sampled Malcolm McLaren's 'World's Famous.' There have been other songs as well, including 'Us Placers,' which was sampled from Thom Yorke's 2006 song 'The Eraser,' and 'Gotta Have It,' which samples three songs by James Brown. Given their history, it was not far-fetched for fans to assume that the producers were planning on sampling 'Tudo Que Você Podia Ser' as well.

Many fans also speculated that Ye might already be working on this sampling, and some even claimed that the rapper had already sampled the track.

There have been no reports of a new collaboration between the hip-hop geniuses in recent times. As for Ye, fans are still hoping for an announcement of the 'Vultures 2' release, which seems to have drowned in the ‘College Dropout’ creator’s priority list. However, this video definitely speaks volumes about Ye and Williams' synergy that makes their collaboration so great.
