AI-generated songs have been around for a while now. While it started out as fan-made creations that made artists nervous, it now seems that the music industry is warming up to the idea as well- or so the rumors go. And the biggest name supposedly giving AI a go is Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. While it is all just speculation, not everyone is looking to put the brakes on this growing AI trend in music.

Podcaster Analytic Dreamz tossed out ideas for Ye to use AI without ruffling feathers, perhaps even setting a new course for the music world.

Analytic Dreamz, known for discussing gaming, hip-hop, and R&B online, weighed in on Ye allegedly using AI in his song earlier this month. On the Notorious Mass Effect podcast, the host actually backed the idea. He pointed out that even with all the noise around rumors of Ye using AI, it could still be useful if the rapper does it right. “Somebody gotta do it,” Dreamz said, adding, “This is about to be the future.” 

Dreamz also predicted that major labels might fully rely on AI down the road and “stop even signing humans.” If that happens, it is time for artists to adapt. While Dreamz knows this idea might be controversial among fans or purists, he sees it as a good option if someone wants Ye’s signature sound without him having to record directly. He also mentioned the controversial Drake and Tupac Shakur's estate dispute.

Earlier this year, Drake got himself in legal trouble after dropping an AI-integrated Kendrick Lamar diss track called ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’.

Drake dropped 'Taylor Made Freestyle' back in April, but it did not stick around for long. The track was quickly yanked from all his social media handles, including Instagram and X, after an attorney for Tupac Shakur’s estate, sent him a cease-and-desist letter. He was threatened legal action if he did not take the track down from all public platforms, citing the unauthorized use of Tupac Shakur’s voice and persona.

The estate called Drake’s use of Tupac’s AI vocals “a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.” They made it clear that the estate would never have given the green light for that. Even Ye got into trouble this year when fans suspected AI vocals in his latest album, 'Vultures 2.' Whether or not his upcoming project, 'Bully,' ends up in the same boat, it is clear that AI is here to stay.
