According to reports from Entertainment Tonight, it was revealed that the professor, Stephanie Burt, had written a rather convincing argument as to why students should learn about Taylor Swift and her work. The professor would be the one teaching the upcoming hour-long class at Harvard. In her letter, she stated that her students would “benefit from studying art that they love — art new and old, art in many genres.”
Burt also said that the course would focus on how students should think about “illicit affairs, and hoaxes, champagne problems and incomplete closure.” Apart from that, they will be diving into works that the 34-year-old singer seemed to find important and about legendary musicians that came before the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer. While there is no doubt that the class will be filled with music lovers and Swifties, it is not the only university to offer a course on the singer.
Notably, Harvard might be the latest addition of colleges to add the singer and her work to their course list.
