Taylor Swift has had several highly publicized clashes with celebrities like the SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian, Ye, formerly known as, Kanye West, and record executive Scooter Braun- which are well-documented in the annals of pop culture history. Yet beyond these high-profile feuds, the singer has also been allegedly betrayed by some of her own people. This includes not only her inner circle but also those she helped in the industry and, in a way, tried to put on the map. The latest name to have allegedly turned on her is Dombresky.

Dombresky, who could have cashed in on the opportunity of having Taylor Swift on his side, recently found himself under fire after making some questionable moves against the pop icon.

Ahead of the 2024 VMAs, the entire Swiftie community was convinced that ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’ would finally be announced. While that certainly did not come to pass, Taylor Swift did manage to surprise her fans with a remix version of the second single from 'The Tortured Poets Department,' 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart'. This was a collaboration between her and French producer and DJ Dombresky. Soon after the track’s release, Dombresky was seen liking some of the hate comments directed at Swift on his Instagram handle. 

For instance, Dombresky liked a fan comment that said, “Our world was the last place safe from Taylor Swift”. This was seen as a thinly veiled jab at the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer, and Swifties did not let it slide without calling Dombresky out. Nonetheless, as soon as the backlash started pouring in, the Parisian producer scrambled to put out the fire before things got completely out of control.

Dombresky shared a heartfelt post in appreciation of Taylor Swift and the effort he put into remixing 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart'. 

Dombresky is one of the rising stars in the world of house music. For years, he has been striving to make a name for himself in the industry with a helping hand from legends like A-Trak, Tchami, and DJ Snake. At this make-or-break moment in his career, it would be a real blunder to pick a fight with one of the biggest names in music. Maybe he realized that and quickly tried to set things right with a post on X. Dombresky wrote "I'm still blown away that Taylor released my remix”.

Dombresky shared how he had to put a great deal of effort into the remix because "the original is so perfect in every way”. He then went on to thank fans for their love for 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart (Dombresky Remix)'. The DJ finally wrapped up his message by sending a massive shout-out to Taylor Swift, saying, “Sending a HUGE thank you to Taylor for the support!”. Now, it is to be seen if his attempt at damage control will be enough to win back the fans’ favor.
