Kanye West’s return to the social game has been brimming with news. After flaunting his Yeezy drop on Instagram, the rapper made a personal recommendation for DeRay Davis as his “favorite comedian who can rap”. The American comedian is also an actor who has showcased his talent in over 30 flicks. Furthermore, he was also the host of Hip Hop Squares and has been crucially active within the genre itself.

Davis’s career breakthrough journeyed from comedy clubs to the cinematic landscape. And later, he found his roots in the music industry with Kanye West’s hand. He sounded several skits for Ye’s albums, ‘Late Registration’ and ‘The College Dropout’. For the former, he portrayed the lead of “Broke Phi Broke” while in the latter, he impersonated Bernie Mac for the introduction of the opening tracks. Davis also made his appearance in West’s music video ‘Through the Wire’.
