Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is reportedly back on the creative fast track. The rapper, just weeks after dropping the second volume of 'Vultures' and its many variants, is already hard at work on his next solo project. Sources close to the production told TMZ earlier that Ye is in a “truly great headspace” and has been cooking up songs at a breakneck pace. It seems, at this speed, he plans to finish nearly 10 tracks in a week alone, as per the report. Now, amid the talks for Ye's solo project, a name has been popping up quite frequently- Arca.

Here is everything about the artist, Arca- his connection to Ye and his upcoming solo album release.

Arca has recently shared some stories on her Instagram from Ye’s hotel in Tokyo. From the stories, it is clear that Arca has been working with the ‘Graduation’ artist, right amid the surprising success of 'Vultures 2'. Arca, aka Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, is a Venezuelan musician and record producer who has often teamed up with other artists as a producer and collaborator, including Ye. He worked with Ye on his sixth studio album, 'Yeezus', as one of the three production consultants for the album, alongside Hudson Mohawke and Evian Christ.

Arca released his first album, 'Xen', in 2014. His most celebrated work to date was the 'Kick' quintet, which earned him a Grammy and a Latin Grammy nomination. After his collaboration with Ye, many thought he would capitalize on the attention from the project. However, unexpectedly, Arca, for the whole of 2013, kept a low profile about his experiences working on the album, until his 2014 FADER cover story.

Arca was asked to send some music to Ye before he finally clinched his collaboration with the Grammy-winning rapper. The UK Music Video Awards winner made sure to send over the “strangest stuff” he had, and it turned out Ye was “excited” by it. Arca also shed light on Ye’s role in the Yeezus production. Describing the process, the ‘Baron Libre’ artist likened it to “solving riddles.”

Arca explained that if a track needed something intense, it was up to three or four people to come up with what they thought was the best solution for that moment. And while everyone would tackle it in their own way, ultimately, Ye, himself did the final editing. “In a weird way, he kind of produced it,” said Arca. Now with Arca jumping in for another production with Ye, as it seems, after almost a decade, they might be able to create something magical again. Or perhaps, 'Yeezus 2' is finally in the works.
