Kanye West is brewing something, and fellow rappers are keen. Ever since his return, people have been waiting for him to drop a song or a sneaker, or at least a statement. Expecting the last may be a reach after all his controversies, but he certainly working on the first two. Even when he shies from social media, we have an update about a possible album.

Ye is known for dropping albums out of the blue, whether through social media or exclusively on apps. But a few fellow rappers seem to have caught wind of his work. Here is what they have revealed so far.

What do rappers know about Ye’s upcoming work?

Reports of West working on a new album have been circulating ever since his return to the limelight. The latest one to talk about it was Rooga during an interview on the No Jumper podcast. Talking about Ye he said, “He’s working on an album.” The two have previously worked on the ‘Donda’ album for the song ‘Ok Ok’. Only after being pressed by Adam22, he revealed that the rapper had been to Japan where Ye is currently exploring with his wife Bianca Censori. But he is not the only rapper to have flown all the way to meet Ye.

Rappers Dolla Sign and Digital Nas also flew to Tokyo to work with West. The former has previously released tracks like ‘Ego Death’, ‘Fade’, and ‘Real Friends’ with him, while the latter produced ‘Remote Control’ for the ‘Donda 2’ album. Just a few days before this, rapper Hit-Boy revealed in an interview with Bootleg Kev about Ye making music with Freddie Gibbs.

This collaboration is not the only one on the cards, as Ye is known for being a big collaborator, willing to spend big for the making.

Which rapper has Kanye West been working with since his return?

West was recently heard in a post by Fivio Foreign as they worked on a song. Thereafter, the ‘Concussion’ track was surprisingly posted on YouTube in May of this year. Even rapper Traxster was to have Ye on the deluxe version of his Chicago album. It was ready to drop on 15th July but has now been postponed as per the rapper’s Instagram.

For his album, it appears that working in Tokyo is favoring the ‘Famous’ singer’s process. Since he is away from social media, only time will tell when he drops the next album.
