Kanye West coming back into the musical arena might be news, but amidst the soaring anticipation, there also lies the teeny bit of skepticism if he will make it on time. Currently, the music mogul’s crowded previews along with the prominent lineups are making fans hold their breath. But the question still lingers if ‘Vultures’ will really follow its scheduled release or leave fans hanging.

Keeping in mind the unexpected aborting of the Riyadh rave, one cannot help but speculate about the worst. Nevertheless, it would be a good time to take a look at the alleged album drop date.

When will Vultures launch?

2023 has been a year of hanging expectations. Despite the sun occasionally peaking through the clouds, the latter ultimately prevails. Therefore, even amidst the newness of West’s return, the old habit of edging fans on tenterhooks has not been bygone. Similarly, after a row of delays, his tie-up record with Ty Dolla $ign is allegedly finally set to release on New Year’s Eve.

Ye’s comeback in the musical universe is largely being looked upon. However, the row of tragedy had already been initiated when the album’s release date shifted from October 2023 to December 15th. But then, the album still was not released on the second schedule, journeying on another pushback whisper. Therefore, if anyone can actually corroborate the New Year’s drop, it is none other than Ye himself.

Considering that ‘Vultures’ is presently going through a series of delays from the album’s release to listening parties, it makes one wonder if his age-long tradition of procrastination will have a role to play in this case as well. 

Kanye West’s history of putting off releases

Being a Kanye West fan is really no cakewalk. From waiting for hours for his appearance to delay drops and now, his canceled rave reminds one of how the old overshadows the new. Therefore, one really has to keep in mind that nearly every album that he has ever released saw the rise of fans’ dreaded wait. A few on the list would be ‘College Dropout’, ‘Late Registration’, and ‘Donda’ among others.

Back in 2021, his record, ‘Donda’ became a staple for every playlist. However, even that launch suffered with a month’s postponement. But given that ‘Vultures’ has been through the hold-offs twice, one can only hope that it does not repeat the case for ‘Jesus is the King’. If that indeed turns out to be the situation, then an entire year of being stuck in limbo sounds inevitable.
