However, in those early days, he had the support of one key person, his manager, John Monopoly.

The role of a manager of high-profile artists includes balancing their contracts and finances as well as forming their strategic backbone to ensure maximum growth. Having met Kanye West in the early ‘90s, John Monopoly did precisely that as he looked after the rapper from the rollout of his first three albums to helping him hold the ground at many world tours. In return, for his manager’s birthday in August 2019, Ye pulled up with a customized matte black $300,000 Lamborghini Urus as a gift.
In a private function that included the likes of the rapper Cam’ron and Jerry Lorenzo at a Los Angeles restaurant named Delilah, Kanye West arrived and handed over the luxe 641-hp super-SUV to John Monopoly, who also took pictures alongside him and posted it to his Instagram with the caption of “Words cannot express my gratitude”. While for the past few years, the rapper went without a manager, he will now have Monopoly back ahead of a potential tour for ‘Vultures’ that may take him across the globe.
Interestingly, even as talks of a Kanye West world tour float around, his trilogy of albums has yet to take shape.
