Coachella, famous as one of the biggest music and arts festivals in California, USA, has officially kicked off with its 2025 edition. And with A-listers flooding the venue and music moguls taking center stage, fans have strapped themselves in for the time of their lives. Although every Coachella event has given viewers something to remember and return for the next, none have probably done it like this one, with Yo Gabba Gabba stealing the spotlight.

While Coachella is all about the bangers and musical highlights, who is this Coachella sensation that netizens and real-time viewers cannot stop talking about?

Yo Gabba Gabba! is a children’s musical television series, which premiered on Nickelodeon on August 20, 2007, as part of the Nick Jr. segment. Although the original series ended a decade ago, there was a Yo Gabba Gabba! set inside the Mojave tent, where Flavor Flav pulled up with a surprising cameo for the second time. Yo Gabba Gabba! was originally hosted by DJ Lance Rock. While Coachella is never short of surprises, this crossover was definitely not on the bingo cards of the listeners in 2025. 

Traditionally, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has maintained a reputation for curating unconventional acts to catch viewers off guard. Though Coachella has hit many home runs with such surprises, bringing the monsters from the children’s musical television show on stage certainly takes the crown. The set additionally brought other mascots, including Duo, the Duolingo owl, and a few Care Bears.

While there have been several theories about who would make an appearance at the festival, this, by far, has been the most approved one by fans.

Yo Gabba Gabba! has been one of the fondest childhood memories for fans, and the popularity of the show has barely hit the brakes even after a decade since its conclusion. Although everyone who marks their calendar for Coachella signs up for some surprise or other, nobody expected the Yo Gabba Gabba! set at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. However, once the set was done, the Internet erupted like never before.

With the frenzy ticking faster than the set transitions of Coachella, it goes without saying that the 2025 edition is a hit already.
