"Were doing fraud now huh?"- Despite Ye Team's Belief, Fans Can’t See 'Vultures 2' Topping Taylor Swift’s Sales

Everyone thought that if there was anyone who could break Taylor Swift’s 'The Tortured Poets Department' records this year, it would be Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. While Swift has dominated all best-selling albums in the US this year, breaking all records, and continues to do so through her album’s variants, Ye is still putting some finishing touches to his album, even after releasing ‘Vultures 2’. Now even his own fans seem to be losing faith in the rapper.

Ye’s team has been quite enthusiastic about ‘Vultures 2’ from the get-go. Eric J Cui, who worked at YZY in the making of this album, recently challenged Swifties in his Instagram story, claiming that ‘Vultures 2’ would surpass Taylor Swift’s records. However, he soon backpedaled and deleted the story. This story was in response to XXL's post, which shared how 'Vultures 2' is projected to debut at No. 2 with 68,000 units sold. Given the negative reviews that have plagued Ye’s latest release, such high claims have fallen on deaf ears.

There were also talks about Swift dropping her anticipated ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’ around the same time as ‘Vultures 2’. This would have brought about the ultimate clash between the music moguls. While ‘Reputation’ did not drop, Swift did release another variant, including a first draft phone memo of ‘My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys’, on the same day as Ye released his album.

‘Vultures 2’ News: Ye Eyes an Uncanny Record With Latest Album, Updates It Live

While back then, fans were upset and accused Taylor Swift of trying to sabotage Ye’s release, the tide has turned in the last few days. Now they do not believe Ye’s ‘Vultures 2’ stands a chance in hell against 'The Tortured Poets Department'.

Ye fans doubt the rapper's abilities against Taylor Swift

‘Vultures 2’ was this year’s most anticipated project, which was delayed so much that it became unbearable for fans. Now that it is out, fans received a half-baked project that is still in need of updates. This has left even the most loyal Ye fans feeling disappointed. They took to X to criticize Ye, saying that the only way the ‘Donda’ rapper can now surpass Taylor Swift is if he pulls off some kind of fraud. “so were doing fraud now huh?” said a fan.

Fans have given up all hope and do not wish to waste any more of their time with the ‘Vultures’ album. They even mocked Ye for expecting sales with an unfinished album.

From unauthorized sampling to using AI vocals, ‘Vultures 2’ has already been tainted. Even though Ye is trying to turn things around by bringing in some of his old collaborators to fix the album, seeing fans’ reactions, it is clear that they are not counting on the ‘Graduation’ creator to pull off a miracle with the project.
