Weeks After the Malibu Mansion Allegations, Kanye West Allegedly Owes $1 Million Dollars to a Contractor
Kanye West might be one of the biggest, most well-known performers in the world, but that does not keep him out of the usual controversy round-ups. After being in the spotlight every day for the havoc he caused in Italy, Ye is now getting attention for a very different reason. Recently, news broke that Ye wanted to build himself a “bomb shelter” in Malibu, but that escalated to something else very soon.
However, weeks after the drama of him mistreating his “hired” contractors unfolded, West seems to be back in the spotlight due to claims that the king of rap had not paid the dues that he owed.

Ye’s contactor Tony Saxon recently shared with ABC News’ Nightline that he has sued Ye for not paying $1 million on the Malibu Mansion. Continuing, he also talked about how unsafe the entire project was, saying that the whole home was a safety hazard for anyone who had to work there. But that was not all. He also said that Ye had asked him to perform some rather unsafe tasks like demolishing parts of the house without the proper safety equipment and even removing all the electrical wiring and powering the shelter from the inside.
However, the surprising part came when Saxon admitted that he was brought in to help with the house, but he had never signed a contract. Much to a lot of people’s surprise, he revealed that he had gone the extra mile for the 46-year-old rap legend. The contractor told ABC that he had even stayed over at the unfinished building, though it was unsafe, just to put in more of an effort to complete the project.
But after numerous arguments and disagreements with the rapper’s plans, Ye ended up sacking Tony Saxon. Thankfully for the fans, he also revealed what the final straw was that ultimately got him fired.
Kanye West’s final straw with the Malibu contractors
Tony Saxon was fired soon after he refused to fulfill Ye’s request to power the “bomb shelter” from the inside with generators. In the same interview, Saxon said, “You can only pay people so much to do crazy work.” Before explaining his side of the story, he recalled warning the rapper how he would end up suffocating everyone with all the “carbon monoxide running into a building.”

This made West “furious”, leaving Saxon out of a job. So far, Ye has not said anything about his latest controversy, but that has not stopped fans from speculating. The images of the mansion collapsing also circulated days after the “bomb shelter” news came out. However, it seems that it does not affect the rapper much as he seems to be busy previewing music from his upcoming album.
