Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign delivered the first volume of ‘Vultures’ on February 10, although with a tinge of delays and changes. About more than a month later, as its second volume reels under an undefined delay, the ‘Y$’ collaborative duo has not shied away from opening up on their experiences during the production of the album with ‘Carnival’. In what could explain why the first part of the album ran into significant delays, one bit of Dolla $ign’s talks came to the fore.

After months of rumors and teases, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign previewed many of the tracks from ‘Vultures 1’ during a December 15 Miami rave with hints of the album dropping in the next couple of days. Yet, it took more than a month to drop, and the ‘Paid’ singer alluded to it when he revealed in the interview that the ‘Donda’ singer would have him “change that sh*t like 20 times”.
Expanding on it, the rapper said that once he believed a song “fully done, he would go to West.” However, instead of approving, his collaborator would hand over notes that would take the song in an entirely new direction. For instance, Dolla $ign shared that “if you woulda heard the first ‘Back to Me’, it was like completely different.” The remarks now make sense as to why, reports of them still recording the album after the rave trended as prime reasons for the delay.
Regardless, for the next two volumes, the outlook has turned into even more of a bleaker situation as per the latest developments.
‘Vultures 2’ release date may be far away than fans’ expectations
Scheduled to drop on March 8, ‘Vultures 2’ currently runs on nearly a week of delays. Yet, much to fans’ disappointment, the drop date for the same could potentially be as far as May 3. In an accidental disclosure, Kanye West mentioned the date to a Baby Keem fan page on Instagram, mistaking it for the rapper. In that sense, the announced date of April 5, 2024, would also cease to exist.

Unconfirmed at this point and without an official reason for the delay, ‘Vultures 2’ remaining on hold could be because of a decisive roadblock. In his interactions with a fan page, Kanye West hinted at not releasing the album for streaming at all and instead opting for a digital launch. As such, for the Ye fandom, receiving the next volumes of the three-part album stands no less than surfing waves of highs and disappointing lows.
