Since the release of ‘Donda 2’ in August 2021, the most that fans have heard of Kanye West’s music is through Travis Scott’s latest ‘Utopia’ album. And this for West, who has been churning out masterpieces for more than two decades on a regular basis, is too long a hiatus. This combined with the fact that the rapper is truly his finest when belting out his lyrics, had fans pleading for new music from the rapper. Therefore, as Ty Dolla $ign played the snippet, fans could not help but stand up out of respect, and perhaps also the fact that it was played in a crowded club.

Music enthusiasts all around could not help but celebrate the rapper’s musical comeback. However, the happiness of the West fans who remained steadfast in their support of the rapper as he kept layering one controversy with another was on another level.

The track, ‘God Breathed’ that $ign played is from Ye’s ‘Donda’ album and consisted of the rapper actually rapping. This is another victory for fans who were growing tired of the mumbling in his tracks. The excessive use of mumbling in his recent tracks had left fans yearning for his trademark lyrical clarity and storytelling prowess. Fortunately, the new verse checked all the right boxes.
