Travis Scott Knocks Taylor Swift off Her Sales Perch With an Earth-Shaking Milan Concert
Taylor Swift has delivered the biggest musical tour the world has witnessed in decades. The Eras Tour has not just set the bar as the highest-grossing tour but has also rained down financial success in many corners of the globe. As the tour approaches the finish line with the year’s end, fans are upping their Swiftie energy to the max, setting record-breaking sales figures that are nothing short of phenomenal for their pop queen. However, it appears that the ‘Cruel Summer’ hitmaker has finally come up against a worthy rival.
Travis Scott has recently eclipsed Taylor Swift’s sales records with his electrifying Milan concert, which has seemingly caused some classic ground-shaking excitement as well.

Taylor Swift took her Eras Tour to Milan on July 13 and 14 earlier this month. The pop star performed for about 160,000 fans over the two nights. However, Travis Scott has surpassed the songstress’ ticket sales with 200,000 sales in Italy through his ‘UTOPIA': Circus Maximus Tour, according to Pubity, making it the highest-attended show of the rapper’s music career. Apart from the ticket sales, Scott and his army also had the ground shaking in Italy, or at least gave the illusion of it.
The crowd at Scott’s concert at the La Maura Hippodrome was so energetic that the locals thought the ground was shaking because of an earthquake. This was felt more strongly during a performance of ‘HYAENA,’ the opening track from Scott's album. However, it turned out there was no earthquake, and the alarms were false. But that has not been the case with Taylor Swift’s concerts.
In fact, just last month, Taylor Swift delivered yet another ground-shaking concert that triggered earthquake readings up to nearly four miles away.

Taylor Swift has been spurring seismic activities since last year. Her Seattle Eras Tour shows in 2023 triggered the greatest seismic activity caused by a music concert, equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake. Last month, the pop queen saw another record-breaking attendance over the concert weekend in Edinburgh, Scotland. According to the British Geological Survey, Swifties danced so hard at the concert that it generated seismic activity that was felt nearly four miles away from Murrayfield Stadium.
Reports also claimed that Swifties brought about 80 kW of power to the show, which is equivalent to around 10-16 car batteries. The energy was especially off the charts when Swift performed the tracks ‘Ready For It?’, ‘Cruel Summer,’ and ‘Champagne Problems’. Even though Travis Scott has outdone Swift’s Milan sales record, the Eras Tour is still officially the highest-grossing music tour ever.
