“To be forgotten..” – Kanye West Once Compared His Legacy to God and the Unique Reason Behind It

Since Ye West is so expressive, he was also asked about how he would want his legacy to be. He revealed the answer during an interview on the Lex Friedman Podcast, explaining the reason behind it. “To be forgotten,” he answered with a straight face. A surprised Freidman asked whether West really thinks he would be forgotten.
The ‘Famous’ singer then further explained how there is ego in memory. He gave examples of the sidewalk, traffic lights, or the stop sign. He called these things ‘ubiquitous’. As per him, a good idea is a ‘God idea’, and thinks that is what his work should be deemed to be. As per him, being forgotten proves that it is a successful design.
Fans applauded him for his unique take when most celebrities want to be remembered forever. But his contribution through his work could indeed leave a mark in history contrary to what West wants.
