When not making music, Kanye Ye West would be busy giving interviews. Fans loved both sides of him, considering how his philosophies would flow into his songs as well. Ever since the beginning of his career, the rapper is known for being vocal about his thoughts, regardless of how they are perceived. He would even get criticized for it, but that did not stop him from spreading the message.

Many consider him to be a pioneer in the rap industry for changing the genre by adding auto-tune and adding meaningful depths to it. Fans would keep mentioning his name even during his absence. We do not know whether his fame is enough to create a legacy, but the rapper himself answered a question about it once.

Since Ye West is so expressive, he was also asked about how he would want his legacy to be. He revealed the answer during an interview on the Lex Friedman Podcast, explaining the reason behind it. “To be forgotten,” he answered with a straight face. A surprised Freidman asked whether West really thinks he would be forgotten.

The ‘Famous’ singer then further explained how there is ego in memory. He gave examples of the sidewalk, traffic lights, or the stop sign. He called these things ‘ubiquitous’. As per him, a good idea is a ‘God idea’, and thinks that is what his work should be deemed to be. As per him, being forgotten proves that it is a successful design.
