Titles Ruin Everything: DJ Khaled and the Internet Has Interesting Reactions to Drake’s New Book
There are celebrities who work for fame and money, and then there is rapper Drake doing what many would call a side quest. The Canadian rapper has a net worth of roughly $250 million. The ‘Hotline Bling’ singer not only tops music charts against competitors but has also diversified his portfolio for skills and as an entrepreneur. His fans also welcome his experiments with open hearts. From gaining recognition for his TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation to building and renting a 50,000 sq feet mansion, he is known for some unique things.
The latest experiment is his debut as an author of a rather unique book called Titles Ruin Everything. Being an absolute entertainer, the rapper perhaps decided to try his hand at poetry. A collection of one-liners make the book, written in collaboration with friend Kenza Samir. But it is not your typical poem book with different stanzas related to love, friendship, life, and more.

DJ Khaled and music Twitterati react to Drake’s new poetry book
Being edgy and creative, Drake’s poetry book was just not going to be so typical. One of the first few people to begin the domino of reactions was his friend, DJ Khaled, who was given the book to read before its release. ‘Charge it to the game’ and ‘Paid the bill’, were some of the quotes he read, as each page contained not more than a sentence. The ‘No Brainer’ rapper zoomed in on the pages to show his surprise over the book.
Another fan joked how the multi-millionaire rapper could just be money laundering by writing a book so ‘unique‘. Then there are those excited to get their hands on it.
Best-selling author Hanif Abdurraqib even reviewed and called it a book of puns and silly jokes. Fans cannot help but compare the book quotes to Instagram captions as well. The poetry book, priced at 14.95 euros, is also being compared to Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey.
