Will Smith, albeit coming from a non-film family, has not just reached unprecedented heights in just the music and film industry but made way for many more artists to do the same. And among the artists that gained inspiration from him and followed his path into the industry was his own daughter, Willow Smith. And while the Oscar-winning actor is a huge inspiration to her, there is someone else from the music industry that she is constantly associated with.

It is quite interesting to observe how the Independence Day actor, who was always at a safe distance from controversies, found a home at its epicenter soon after his wife Jada Pinkett Smith started a talk show. This, combined with the fact that the actor slapped Chris Rock on the Oscar stage, led to a lot of his family life becoming a hot topic of discussion.

While Jada Pinkett Smith provided enough with her entanglement discussion, a letter posted by Willow Smith asking legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur, to “come back” raised a lot of eyebrows.

The letter written by Willow Smith always finds its way back to pop culture relevance for many reasons. One, because it consists of her saying that she knows he is alive and hopes he comes back. This backs up an age-old conspiracy that believes he is not really dead. But more importantly, the letter never ceases to amaze fans because Willow Smith was barely a toddler when Shakur passed away. Furthermore, the letter in question is far too profound to be written by a kid.

Smith’s letter was traced to have been posted on her own Instagram handle back when she was eleven years old. And although she has since then deleted it, it resurfaced shortly after last year’s Oscar incident, eternalizing its contents forever. Especially the part where she says, “Can you come back so mommy (mommy) and me can be happy!

Will Smith has often found himself at the media’s gunpoint after a revealing statement his family made. And while he is successful in clearing up most of them, Smith has remained mum on his daughter’s letter. It could be because of the fact that it is a letter written by a pre-teen. Or it could also be that Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur were rumored to be dating for ages.

The Independence Day actor once even confessed to being jealous of their bond. However, the letter in question has not been lucky enough to be explained by any of the Smith family members. And thus continues the doubt whether the singer even wrote the letter in the first place.
