Now, the skeptics have more to discuss, as Swift has introduced yet another controversial strategy for the album, or so fans claim.

When Taylor Swift released three new digital editions of ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ fans accused her of overshadowing Billie Eilish with her vinyl releases after the latter critiqued artists who flooded the market with vinyl variants in a Billboard interview. However, the latest update reveals that the ‘Fortnight’ singer has once again introduced two new editions of the album. This time, the new editions feature acoustic versions of her tracks, ‘Guilty As Sin’ and ‘Down Bad’.

Taylor Swift is known for releasing numerous versions of her album; fans typically welcome the editions with open arms. Although this update follows the back-and-forth brewing tensions between Swift and Eilish, fans this time do not seem too enthralled to welcome yet another version of the album, let alone two.

Consequently, fans have started to point fingers at Swift, criticizing her for what they perceive as an obsession with topping the charts.

The last time Taylor Swift released digital editions of ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ fans accused her of not letting Billie Eilish have her moment. Although tensions have cooled, fans still question the need for multiple versions more than a month after the original release. Some view this as excessive and a sign of over-marketing, with some even remarking that "this should be illegal."

Many fans believe this was an intentional move to undermine Eilish, while others think it was purely to dominate the Billboard charts. 

Regardless of her intentions, the primary issue is that fans are seemingly losing interest in the original album, despite its success. This fatigue could stem from the numerous variant releases, lingering frustration over her alleged feud with Eilish, or a culmination of fan dissatisfaction finally surfacing. But either way, it seems like she cannot get out of this one Swiftly.
